Chris joined Schmidt Futures as Manager, Operations in the Spring of 2021 after eight years as Head of Facilities for Assured Investment Management (fka BlueMountain Capital Management) where he would oversee everything from mission critical power to catering.
Prior to that he managed over 600,000 square feet of office and data center space for Citigroup in the tri-state area after Citi acquired Lava Trading, a pioneer in electronic trading. At Lava Trading, Chris helped build and maintain their West Village offices and Stamford, CT data center. Chris also helped with after work entertainment, playing bass and singing with the Lava Trading Band at many famous NYC clubs. That rock and roll band has featured over 100 guest artists from co-workers to clients; continuing to play charity events to this day.
During the dot com boom of the 90s, Chris cut his construction teeth building and managing data center space for Globix in New York City, London, and Santa Clara, as well as many points of presence across the US. He holds a BA in Linguistics from Stony Brook University where he also was Music and Program Director of WUSB-FM, one of the top college radio stations.
