Rebecca is an Associate at Schmidt Futures where she co-leads entrepreneurship programs that support talented people looking to turn their passions into companies. She is particularly interested in innovation funding mechanisms that catalyze research into novel technologies that create new industries.
Prior to Schmidt Futures, Rebecca spent several years as an early-stage venture capitalist, investing primarily in technologies that improve access to healthcare and financial wellness. She was most recently on the founding team of Owl Capital, and she spent several years at Aspect Ventures (Bay Area) and Earlybird Ventures (Berlin).
Rebecca received her BA in Neurobiology and Economics from Harvard College and her MS in Molecular Photonics and Biotechnology as a Fulbright Scholar from École Normale Supérieure de Cachan in Paris, where she conducted research on developing an early-stage diagnostic platform for Alzheimer’s.
